Its that time again; for another PUNK ROCK CABARET!
- brought to you by Vaudie Va-boom and the Oakland Pyrate Punx!
This time the theme is going to be "Zombie Jesus" - to celebrate the day the undead Jesus rose from the grave - EASTER!
The date is Saturday, April 11th, 2009
@ The Your House Warehouse
"Secret underground location" in Downtown Oakland.
Show is 7:30pm-12midnight
Performer call is at 6:30
$6-10 at the door, and guest list spots for performers.
All ages!
**We're looking for acts!!** ... bands, burlesque, freaks, fire, circus, dance, and anything else that will make for a horrifyingly awesome time!
We want all types of acts that can somewhat fit into the punk/zombie/jesus/easter/cabaret theme!
If you want some ideas, or have any questions, please ask!
...we're open to *pretty much* anything! :)
(And, we're looking for a zombified jesus look-a-like to be the MC!!!)
**Rehearsal space at the venue is available, and highly encouraged.
We also have table space for anyone looking to sell their merchandise at the show!
$ - Performers will be paid, but there will be no guarantee of amount.
The payment depends on what we make at the door.
The house takes 30% of the door, and the rest is split amongst performers accordingly.
Your payment will depend on how many acts you do, difficulty, audience draw, preparation, etc.
We also pay more for things like fire, boobies, dangerous feats, and out-of-towners!
The last show we did had a huge draw, and all 14 acts made AT LEAST $40 (many made more for the reasons explained above).
The PUNK ROCK CABARET is always a super fun, high energy show with a big rowdy crowd, and a great group of performers, and we would love to have you at our Zombie Jesus (Easter) PUNK ROCK CABARET to add to the fun!
Please reply if you are interested, and pass on to anyone else you think would be interested.
Depending on your act, I may require an audition or interview prior to adding you to the show.
